Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring a “spectacular limestone karst landscape with an underground river. One of the river’s distinguishing features is that it emerges directly into the sea, and its lower portion is subject to tidal influences. The area also represents a significant habitat for biodiversity conservation. The site contains a full ‘mountain-to-sea’ ecosystem and has some of the most important forests in Asia.”

Globe installed Wi-Fi at the entrance to the cave system to allow tourists to share their experience with their friends. This coverage is provided by camouflaged outdoor Aruba Access Points ensuring no visual impact on the site. To provide Wi-Fi coverage, Lemcon has connected the system to nearby Sabang Port. The transmission required is powered by solar energy from a nearby mountaintop. Lemcon is now offering solar power solutions to meet the challenges of power needs in remote locations.
